Improves the level of your gaming experience
New resolution upscaling choices are available in the latest GeForce NOW update, including an AI-powered option for members with select NVIDIA GPUs.
With the 2.0.37 update, all members now have access to this functionality. Enabling players with limited network speed or higher resolution displays crisper graphics that match the native resolution of their monitor or laptop. While streaming, resolution upscaling works by applying sharpening techniques that reduce visible blurriness. It can be added to any game and enabled in native PC and Mac apps via the GeForce NOW settings.
There are currently three upscaling modes available. Standard is the default setting, and it has a minor impact on system performance. Enhanced gives a higher-quality upscale but depending on your machine specs, and it may cause some latency. AI Enhanced uses a trained neural network model and picture sharpening for a more natural look and is accessible to members playing on PC with select NVIDIA GPUs and SHIELD TVs. These new settings can be changed in the middle of a session.
Customize Your Streaming Experience
Custom streaming quality settings, such as bit rate VSync. Now the new upscaling modes have been a popular method for subscribers to take control of their streams on the PC and Mac apps. Members can now use the GeForce NOW in-game overlay to alter some streaming quality settings.
While broadcasting, open the overlay by pressing Ctrl+G > Settings > Gameplay to access these options.
The update also improves the web-streaming experience on play.geforcenow.com by automatically selecting the best streaming resolution for devices that can’t decode at high bitrates. Finally, there’s a workaround for launching games directly from desktop shortcuts.
