AMD Ryzen 5 7500F

AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F CPU is a 6-core Zen 4 chip that costs just $180 US and is aimed at people on a budget.

The AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is the most affordable Zen 4-based processor. It came out quietly. This six-core CPU doesn’t have graphics built in and is recommended to cost $179. As we said, the chip made its debut in China.

However, AMD lists it on its product page as being available worldwide so that it could come to other places. The Ryzen 5 7500F CPU will make AMD’s AM5 platform more affordable for gamers looking forward to upgrades but only have a little money.

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is a six-core processor with a base clock of 3.70 GHz and a maximum boost clock of 5.0 GHz. The CPU has a total of 6MB of L2 cache, 32MB of L3 cache, and a dual-channel DDR5 memory subsystem that officially supports DDR5-5200 but can handle much higher data transfer rates, mainly when used with modules that support AMD’s EXPO profiles.

The processor has a TDP of 65W and a locked multiplier, which makes it hard to overclock. Those who want to be able to overclock will probably have to buy the Ryzen 5 7600X, which costs $299 and is one of the best processors for gaming.

The Ryzen 5 7500F CPU has 28 PCIe Gen5 lanes, like the other Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000-series CPUs released. Four routes are used to connect to the chipset, four are for a high-performance M.2 SSD with a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface, and 16 are available for graphics cards and other components that need a lot of bandwidth. Regarding graphics, the ‘F’ in the model number indicates that this CPU lacks a GPU and requires a separate graphics card. Also, remember that the iGPUs in Ryzen 7000-series CPUs are mainly made for office work and fixing problems so gamers won’t miss this one much.

AMD’s $179 The Ryzen 5 7500F will be below the Ryzen 5 7600 (6C/12T, 3.80 GHz–5.10 GHz, a basic RDNA 2-based GPU), which costs $208. The Ryzen 5 7600 is just a little faster in games for $50 more but costs $208. The performance of the new CPU is better than AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600 (6C/12T, 3.50 GHz–4.40 GHz, no GPU), which costs $116. AMD’s AM5 platform is more expensive than its tried-and-true AM4 platform, but the AM5 platform can be upgraded for a long time.

One exciting thing about AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F is that it is released in China and a few other Asian countries. This means that for at least a few weeks, its AM5 platform will still be considered the best in the rest of the world. Still, the company’s website clarifies that the CPU is available “globally.” As we said in a previous article, AMD still has the option to make the chip available in other places in the future.
