But if you like AMD more than Intel and want the same features, you might look for AMD CPUs that are the same as Intel Core i7 processors.
In this article, I will list these AMD processors and explain why they are similar to Intel Core i7 CPUs.
What AMD CPUs are the same as an Intel Core i7?
Most AMD Ryzen 7 series processors are the same as Intel Core i7 processors. But early in 2022, Intel made their 12th and 13th Generation CPUs have more cores. Because of this, some Ryzen 9 series processors, like the R9 7900x and 5900x, are now also paired with Intel Core i7 series processors.

Ryzen 7 vs. Intel Core i7: Which One Should You Choose?
The Ryzen 7 and the Intel Core i7 have been in contention for quite some time in terms of which one is superior and which one should be purchased.
If you want to get a central processing unit (CPU) in today’s market that is both more affordable and offers improved performance, your best chance is to go with an Intel Core-i7 processor.

In the following paragraphs, I will contrast the performance and cost of CPUs made by Intel and AMD. I will focus on these two companies separately. Have a look at those.
From a Price Perspective
The AM4 socket used by Ryzen 7 processors has been upgraded to the AM5 standard. Because of these AM5 sockets, you will need to purchase a new motherboard that is compatible with the AM5 standard. In addition, the cost of an AM5 motherboard is relatively expensive.
Go through our epic guide on Should I Overclock My CPU
In addition, if you want to use an AM5 processor, you will want DDR5 RAM, which is also quite pricey. For instance, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X that has an AM5 socket costs somewhere between $415 and $450.
On the other hand, regardless of whether you choose the 12th or 13th generation of Intel Core i7 processors, they will both utilize DDR4 memory. In addition, the cost of a processor with an Intel Core i7-13700 ranged between $384 and $394.
On the other hand, you can utilize AMD Ryzen 7 with AM4 for a price that is about equivalent. Therefore, it would be a waste of time and money to employ an outdated AMD processor that requires an AM4 platform socket when a superior Intel processor can be purchased for the same price.

Thus, Intel comes out on top when considering the cost.
From a Performance Perspective
When performance is the primary concern, AMD provides support for AM4 sockets and DDR4 Memory. On the other hand, the clock speed of Intel’s 12th and 13th generation processors will be slightly improved, as will their gaming performance.

For instance, the Cinebench R23 score for the multi-core on the Intel Core i7-13700 is 24642, which is an excellent result. And the Cinebench R 23 score for the multi-core performance of the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X is 19905.
So, Intel triumphs in this category as well on the basis of performance.
In general, I believe that for this generation, an Intel Core i7 processor is the best option for you to go with. When Intel and AMD release their next generation of processors in the next years, things could potentially undergo a dramatic shift.
Now that you know which Core i7 processors are almost the same as AMD processors, let’s find out which AMD CPUs are the same as Core i3, Core i5, and Core i9 processors.
Conclusion
You now have the knowledge to determine which AMD and Intel processors are comparable based on the benchmarks and specifications of both of these processors. I’m hoping you’ve already made up your mind on which processors you wish to use.
