Architecture (Ampere Vs. Turing)

Nvidia’s “Ampere” architecture was used to make the GeForce RTX 3060, while Nvidia’s “Turing” architecture was used to make the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.

Nvidia’s Ampere architecture replaces Turing. It was launched in May 2020. Nvidia built it for AI and high-performance computing. The first to use NVIDIA Tensor Core technology. It supports Deep Learning Super Sampling. NVIDIA Ampere architecture outperforms all others.

Design Chip

The GeForce GTX 1660 Ti utilised TU-116, while the Nvidia RTX 3060 used GA106. Samsung makes Nvidia’s GA-106 chip in 8 nm. It uses Nvidia Ampere.
